Ah, Spring.

Nothing like a few abnormally hot days to kick-start spring in Baltimore! Here is a photo of the cherry blossoms in DC (get it? cherries-Washington). It was not taken by me because I did not travel to DC to partake in the cherry blossom awesomeness (c.b. ice cream = divine), rather it was taken by librarian friend. But, beautiful, non?

All of Baltimore seems to be in bloom! The ivy on buildings is just beginning to renew itself, early flowers are out, the leaves are forming, and the grass is green and growing. Perspective students and their parents are descending on campus, clipboards in hand, like locusts. As Angry/Bitter officemate said, "God never made so many fucking tulips. We always put on our makeup for the parents!" E has been tapped for lunches with prospectives' parents (our true customers) next week and my ability to avoid all of this is a real upside to only being contingency faculty.

In and around the apartment building, the whiff of springtime is definitely in the air - and it's doing a number on Montoya, I have to tell you. Bitches in heat is alls I'm sayin. He's been spending a lot of time with his eff buddy Polar Bear.

His relationship with Polar Bear really reminds me of that unsinkable Warner Bros. favorite, Pepe le Pew:

As one website reminded me: "In recent years, the shorts featuring Pepe have been more and more downplayed and even banned as his relentless pursuit of clearly unappreciative females comes across more as stalking."
